The linen trade is the principal resource of the inhabitants. Ncicry, at the northern extremity of Carlingford Lough, and on the Xewry ULSTER. 419 River, lias been raised solely through its industry to the eminent position it holdsamong the maritime towns of Ireland ; for its harbour does not give access to largevessels, which stop at TFarreiipo/tif, romantically seated on the northern bank ofthe lough.
