| Description |
English: The demolition of Galashiels Station Bridge A heavy plant machine grapples with a large section of side wall steelwork during the dismantling of the Station Brae Bridge in Galashiels. The demolition of the bridge is part of major redevelopment works in the town centre. The bridge used to carry vehicular traffic over the former Waverley railway line, and was opened on 29th June 1938. The building in the background is Our Lady and St Andrews Church. |
