Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe bus stop and shelter at Penrhos Polish village - geograph.org.uk - 637101.jpg |
English: The bus stop and shelter at Penrhos Polish village. The Polish Village is served by the Nefyn Coaches No 18 Pwllheli-Abersoch bus - you simply ask for "The Camp". The journey takes about five minutes. The No 18 must be the only bus in the world where Polish and Welsh can be heard side by side on a daily basis, or at least it was until the recent influx of migrant workers from Poland.
The buildings in the background are amongst the oldest on the site and date back to WWII. They are used mainly as communal rooms, including the library and village hall. |
