Take me up, andcast me forth into the sea; so shall the seabe calm unto you: for I know that for mysake this great tempest is upon you. 13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring 991 Jonah cast into the sea it to the land;but they couldnot: for the seawrought, andwas tempestuousagainst them. 14 Whereforethey cried untothe Lord, andsaid. We beseechthee, O Lord, webeseech thee, letus not perish, forthis mans life,and lay not uponus innocentblood: for thou, OLord, hast doneas it pleased thee. 15 So they tookup Jonah, andcast him forth in-to the sea: andthe sea ceasedfrom her raging. 16 Then the menfeared the Lordexceedingly, andoffered a sacrificeunto the Lord,and made vows. 17 IT Now theLord had pre-pared a great fishto swallow up Jo-nah. And Jonahwas in the belly ofthe fish three daysand three nights. JONAH I. and in the belly of the fish.
