The inside of the court of Saint Maur is given by Du Cerceau.It has coupled Corinthian pilasters carrying an entablature witha high attic order like that of a triumphal arch, a portal in thecentre with columns, and a pediment above the attic. Thewindows are placed in the alternate intercolumniations, sothat each pair on one side of the apartment has a window oppo-site to it on the other.
