elativfs andfriends of Sir Mathew White Ridley, Bart., are alsomourning for the loss of that much-respected gentleman.Mongwell House, Oxfordshire, is now the scene of lamenta-tion, for there, on the 15th ult., Eleanor, the youngestdaughter of the late Right Hon. Charles Bathurst, ofSydney-park, Gloucestershire, breathed her last. Sir FrancisFreeling, the respected Secretary of the Post-office, is nowno more. He died on the 10th ult. Among the marriages said to be upon the tapis, there is noone that excites more interest than that of his Grace the Dukeof Somerset with Miss Shaw Stewart, sister to Sir M.S. Stewart. The Duke is upwards of sixty years of age,and a widower ; the intended bride is under thirty, and isgreatly accomplished. Costly trosseaux are in preparation.The marriage between the Hon. Miss Maynabd, eldestunmarried daughter of the Lord Viscount Maynard, withT. R. Ines, Esq., is fixed to take place at Eastnor Hall, theseat of the noble lord, in the early part of this month.
