Description
English: Political cartoon by JM Staniforth. A duel cartoon showing at first a placid lion, representing Great Britain, being plagued by foreign powers and then an enraged Lion frightening the same countries away. Commentary in response to a speech by Arthur Balfour, 1st Earl of Balfour, on the changing view of Britain's usage of her armed forces in an offensive capability.
