English: The Trackbed of the 3' Gorseddau Tramway The Gorseddau Tramway, built in 1857, joined the Gorseddau Quarry with the slate mill at Ynys y Pandy SH549433 and with the port of Porthmadog 8 miles away. It was one of the best engineered quarry lines in Wales, but one of the least used. It was torn up in 1872. |
