Page 26 article "Seattle's First Taste of Warfare" discusses the Battle of Seattle in 1856. Page 27 article "Work in Hand to Be Done" discusses Seattle War Efforts. Page 32 includes photographs of Horace C. Henry's private art gallery. Page 33 article ""Some Seattle Artists and Their Work"" features artwork by local artists such as Edward Forkner, F.J. Crooks, Herbert Webb, Roy Partridge, Spiro Orfans, E. Frere Champney, Sara Visonhaler, F. Tadama, Imogen Cunningham Partridge, Irene Ewing, Gertrude Little, Kathleen Houlahan, Clare Shepard, Hamilton Wolf and Yasushi Tanaka. Page 79 features photograph of soldiers marching on 2nd Ave.
