HEATING On account of the great number of stops per mile in serviceand the opening of doors at both ends of the car, necessitated follows: First point, 7 amps.; second point, 12 amps; thirdpoint, 19 amps. It is a common mistake, in purchasing electric heater equip-ment for a car, to provide an insufficient number of heaters, thusgiving too small radiating surface. This makes it necessary towork the heaters at a high temperature, which is detrimentalto the life of the heater coils and does not produce as good
