days ago in ahead-on collision between a passenger and repair car of the Milford, Hollis-ton & Framingham Street Railway Company. Both cars were derailed andbadly damaged. HOLYOKE. MASS.—The Summit House, owned by the Mount TomRailroad, was destroyed by fire Oct. 8. The loss is estimated at $25,000. BOSTON, MASS.—The Boston Elevated Railway Company has placed anorder with the Sprague Electric Company for one hundred equipments, in-stead of sixty, as generally reported. MILFORD, MASS.—The Milford & Uxbridge Street Railway Companyhas voted to call an assessment of 20 per cent on the stock. The directorshave decided to accept the franchises granted the company in Hopedale.Mendon and Uxbridge, and will probably have the line in peration earlynext spring TAUNTON, MASS.—The Railroad Commissioners have granted the Brock-ton Street Railway Company permission to operate oyer the lines of theTaunton Street Railway Company in this city, October 27, 1900.)
