DAY EXHIBIT OF THE MILWAUKEE ELECTRIC RAILWAY AND LIGHT COMPANY tic show of the unholy world, the head of Hades and hissatellites having prominent positions on the car. The largest figure in the parade, and the one that causedquite a sensation after the battleship Wisconsin, was thewhale, with one supposed to represent the prophet Jonahsitting in his wide-open jaws. This float was on a 50-ft.flat car, and was decorated with 900 lights, giving it such aglowing appearance that one could almost imagine thatthe sides were transparent and that by some hocus-pocusthe figure in the jaws would pass down the throat and beseen after he had reached the bottom.
