(Vol. X. No. 2. cars will be ready in the early summer. They will betwenty-eight feet long over all, with ten reversible crossseats. Both closed and open cars will be mounted on fourwheel trucks, supplied by the J. G. Brill Company, andthe Peckham Motor Truck & Wheel Company. All ofthese cars will have double motor equipments. One-half A New Truck. The Chicago Electric Truck Company has enteredinto the manufacture of high class electric motor trucks.Its line will embrace five styles, under patents of Geo. H.Graham. The illustrations show this companys No. Atruck which is designed to meet the varied conditions

FIG. 1.—THE CHICAGO TRUCK—SIDE VIEW. of the winter cars will have double motor equipments fur-nished by the General Electric Company, and the otherhalf double equipments furnished by the Sperry ElectricCompany. The forty closed cars which the Electric TractionCompany has ordered from the Pullman Company forthe 10th and nth Streets line, will be of the same generaldesign and color as those now running on 13th and 15thStreets. Inside they will be eighteen feet long, and overall twenty-six feet. The trucks will be of the McGuire Columbian pat-tern. Two General Electric motors, of twenty-five horsepower each, will be used on thirty of the cars, and twoCurtis motors, of thirty horse power each, on ten ofthe cars. A New Anti=Oseillating Device. End oscillation or rocking is one of the greatest diffi-culties that truck builders have to contend with in thepresent day of long car bodies, and an inspection of theleading patterns of trucks will show the various devicesadopted to obviate this
