Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Spectacle E'e Falls. Back in 1801 there was a mill here called Overhall Mill. The story goes that the miller's daughter fell in love with a local youth deemed unsuitable and sent away by her father. In revenge, the youth climbed onto the thatched roof and left his spectacles there so that the sun was focused and set fire to the thatch, burning down the mill. Hence the name of the mill and the nearby falls.
