| Description |
English: The Spaniards Inn. Located where Hampstead Lane becomes Spaniards Road, there was once a toll gate here. A brief history of the inn is given in the comments of 53762. The nature of the traffic problem is clear from this side, further compounded by pedestrians with dogs trying to use the side of the road without any pavement. The clapperboard construction of this side of the inn, a design that it shares with Jack Straws Castle beside Whitestone Pond, is evident in this photo. |
