English: The Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War 2nd Lieutenant Leonard "Pip" Perry, Commander of B Platoon, No 5 Troop Carrying Company RASC poses with his car at Waldershare Park, near Eythorne, Kent during the Battle of Britain in 1940. The Platoon, which was equipped with 30 Bedford three ton lorries, was attached to the Queen's Westminster Regiment with orders to convey troops into action against any German landings in the Dover - Folkestone area. |
