Description |
English: A trail is cut through gently sloping terrain, dense with small trees and brushy undergrowth. Purchase Knob, near the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, is at an elevation of 5000 feet. The historically open character contributed to its unique cultural and natural resources, including apple trees that were cultivated at the Ferguson farm. Today, the park is taking steps to clear encroaching vegetation that has grown around the trees.
