| Description |
English: The Old Railway to New Holland Pier Prior to the opening of the Humber bridge travel to Hull was via the ferry from New Holland pier TA0724 : New Holland Pier to Hull Victoria pier TA1028 : Victoria Pier, Hull. The nearest road bridge was at Goole a journey of 42 miles from this point as it was necessary to deviate to the South in order to cross the Trent at Scunthorpe. It is then an additional 26 miles from Goole to Hull making a total of 68 miles. The journey from Grimsby was even longer. |
