Description
English: Photo, taken in 2015, depicting items from the now-defunct International Museum of World War II in Natick, Massachusetts, located a few miles west of Boston:
  • Various German and Soviet military propaganda posters from World War II:
    • Sieg oder Bolschewismus ("Victory or Bolshevism"), Anti-Soviet Anti-Communist war propaganda poster of Nazi Germany 1943, by Mjölnir (Hans Schweitzer)
    • Boevaya konnica ("Cavalry"), Soviet WWII poster by A. Przheclavskij and R. Serapionov, showing a cavalryman riding on a horse, TASS Window No. 1209 (Окно ТАСС № 1209); "TASS window" posters refer to a series of stencil printed propaganda posters created by a group of Soviet artists, which were to raise the spirits of citizens after Hitler's invasion of the USSR in 1941
    • Painted portrait of Joseph Stalin with the Gold star medal of the Hero of the Soviet Union
    • Soviet war propaganda poster 1943, TASS Window No. 973, by Mikhail Cheremnykh, Russian poster artist, caricaturist and illustrator (1890-1962)

Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (galizische Nr. 1) was a World War II German military formation made up predominantly of military volunteers with a Ukrainian ethnic background from the area of Galicia, later also with some Slovaks. Formed in 1943, it was largely destroyed in the battle of Brody, reformed, and saw action in Slovakia, Yugoslavia, and Austria before being renamed the first division of the Ukrainian National Army and surrendering to the Western Allies by 10 May 1945.

The International Museum of World War II operated from 1999 until 2019 and featured an exclusive exhibition of over 7,000 artifacts, 100 uniforms, books, photographs, and other memorabilia related to the Second World War. Access to the exhibition was available only by reservation.
