| Description |
English: The Long Causeway, west of Blackshawhead. The Long Causeway was an ancient packhorse route between Burnley and Halifax, which avoided the boggy valley bottom. Today it is a tarmac road, which suffers a little from being used as a rat run between Burnley and Hebden Bridge, and drivers going too fast. This view is looking west. As the road climbs from Blackshawhead the landscape becomes wilder. |
