The contents ofthe house were consequently destroyed, but it was leftstanding, as one of the Boers was dying and the other justdead. Later in the same day the column was attacked,about thirty prisoners with two galloping maxims beingtaken by the Boers, while twelve men were killed andseveral wounded.
