inistered every hour. Vipera Torva.—The bite of this snake has produced oedema of the aryieno-epiglottidean folds. It is then a homoeopathic remedy in this affection. Mercuiius produces an inflammation of the larynx associated with dyspnoea. Itlias been recommended in the treatment of oedema of the glottis, but in Joussetshands has not given good results. Sanguinana has been highly recommended by Dr. Nichol, who has had excep-tionally good results from it. Its pathogenesis does not furnish any well-markedindications for its emyloyment in oedema glottidis.—LArt Medica, March, 1891. It is needless, at the present day, to demonstrate the necessity ofthe proving of drugs on the healthy human body, or to vindicatefor Hahnemann and his school their prominent place in the accom-plishment of the task. The former assumption I must take forgranted; and for the latter I have but to point to the Cyclopaediaof Drug Pathogenesy and to the volumes of Hahnemanns owniss
