Description
English: A title-page border with four panels, featuring the reading of Philipp Melanchthon’s (1497-1560) Augsburg Confession at the Diet of Augsburg in 1530; a gathering of Protestant men; warfare between Catholic authorities and Protestant rebels; and the 1557 Colloquy of Worms. The name of the engraver, Jan Veenhuisen, appears in the lower right.
