Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Cross of Lorraine of the Cathedral of Tunis (Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul and St Olivia of Palermo). It's a Latin cross with double crosses: the upper cross is shorter than the lower one, recalling the titulus crucis (the placard of condemnation) fixed above the head of Christ on the Cross. This kind of Cross was brought into North Africa by the Cardinal Lavigerie which he had discovered when he was the Bishop of Nancy, France.
