Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Commercial Buildings, Belfast (detail). The "Northern Whig" (commonly "The Whig") was a Belfast newspaper published between 1823 and 1963. The Commercial Buildings, at the corner of Waring Street and Bridge Street, were built in 1819/20 and were occupied by the newspaper and its printing presses since 1922. Thereafter the building, too, was commonly known as "The Whig". After a long period when vacant it has been restored as offices and a bar. This is one of the entrances in Waring Street with Bridge Street just out of sight on the right. Continue to 1465292.
