English: Political satire; a British sailor wearing a spotted neckerchief, brandishing a stick and carrying a dish of roast beef, standing triumphant among terrified Frenchmen, whom he has beaten to the ground in an inn; pouring gravy from the dish he holds over one in the right foreground, watched with glee by a boy bringing beer and a sauce-jug, and with horror by a woman, who stands in the doorway holding a plate of food; a picture of a naval battle on the wall to right; song below the image. 6 January 2796
