Thus, for instance, oneimportant principle was that the value of an offering shouldbe proportioned to the wealth of the individual whopresented it. This is illustrated in the present picture. One of thelaws was that a mother, after her child was born, shouldcome with an offering of purification, when she returnedto the tabernacle to give thanks to the Lord.
