There are some original designs infurniture, lamp shades and bookrests inthe shop, along with several splendidpieces of pottery from the Gladding,McBean Company, for whom Mrs. Mc-Afee is a.gent. l-urniturc and potteryare made up according to the designswhich Mrs. McAfee draws and submitsto the purchaser. .Most of the potteryis from the Lincoln Works of Gladding,McBean & Co. The shop invites repose by its air ofquiet relinement. Its placid gray walls,with a suggestion of deep tur<;uoise bluehere and there, and occasionally a glintof sunny yellow, are restful to the ex-treme. Here and there are lovely piecesof furniture, some that Mrs. McAfeedesigned, others imported or made else-where.
