Title
Terracotta lekythos (oil jar)
Description
Greek, Attic; Lekythos; Vases; Nike with an oinochoe (jug) above an altar. The point of reference for a vase such as this one is difficult to identify. The image probably represents a libation offered for a victory. It is unclear whether the lekythos was purely funerary in function. If so, the vase may have served for the burial of an athlete.
