  • berechnet als gleitende Mittelwerte von zwölf Monatsmittelwerten aller Bundesländer ("Mannheimer Stunden", 1881-2012) sowie zur Überlagerung gleitende Zehnjahresmittelwerte TM10
  • dargestellt in den Epochen
1880-1930: erste "Hochindustrialisierung" im Deutschen Reich, TM10 ca 8,0°C
1932: Weltwirtschaftskrise im Deutschen Reich, Anstieg auf TM10 ca. 8,5°C
1934-1943: Aufrüstung und Krieg im Dritten Reichs, Abfall auf TM10 ca. 7,8°C
1945: Komplette Zerstörung der deutschen Wirtschaft bis Mai, Anstieg auf TM10 ca. 8,8°C
1947-1960: Wiederaufbau der Schwerindustrie, Abfall auf TM10 ca. 8,2°C
1960-1970: Umstellung von Kohle- auf Ölfeuerungen (Ostdeutschland ab 1990)

Anm.1: "± Standardabweichung" besagt, daß 66% aller Mittelwerte in diesem Bereich liegen müssen und 33% außerhalb liegen dürfen. Die Mittelwerte definieren das Zentrum dieses Bereichs. Je größer die Streuung der Mittelwerte, desto weiter der Bereich der Standardabweichung.
