| Description |
c/n 134. Built 1942 as the second production Auster. Used for trials from Boscombe Down until May 1943, when it joined No1 EFTS at Panshangar. It remained in military service as a training aircraft until April 1946. Sold off, it was civil registered as ‘G-AIXA’ in January 1947. It remained airworthy until 2002, when it was purchased by the RAF Museum and flown to Cosford. In August 2003 it went on permanent display in the Historic Main Hangars, RAF Museum, Hendon, London, UK. 22-3-2015 |
