Description
Deutsch: Der Lachhannes auf dem Winzerbrunnen (1859) erneuert (1912); auch Lachhannes-Brunnen, von Johann Nepomuk Zwerger (Künstler), G. Knodt (Gießer), Frankfurt-Bockenheim; Bronzebueste auf Sandstein, (2011) Taunusanlage, Ffm-Innenstadt. Seit 1947 steht in der Taunusanlage, Ecke Mainzer Landstraße, wieder der spätklassizistische Pumpenbrunnen. Auf einer viereckigen Brunnensäule erhebt sich die Büste eines Weinbauers, den der Volksmund "Lachhannes" nennt. Er hat ein verschmitztes Gesicht, einen Kragen aus Weinlaub und ein Hütchen auf dem Kopf. Die Inschrift auf der Bronzetafel lautet:

"GESEGNET SOLL DER TRUNK UNS SEIN: DAS WASSER EUCH UND MIR DER WEIN"

Dieser Spruch stammt vermutlich von dem Frankfurter Nervenarzt Heinrich Hoffmann, der auch den "Struwwelpeter" verfasst hat. Von dem Städelprofessor Johann Nepomuk Zwerger geschaffen, wurde der Brunnen am 1. Juli 1859 eingeweiht, vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg jedoch wieder entfernt. Zur Freude der Frankfurter Bürger wurde er wiederentdeckt und erneut aufgestellt. Quelle:[1]
