Nederlands: De tatsjanka is een koets dat door een of meerdere paarden wordt getrokken om een cavaleriegroep met een machinegeweer bij te staan. De tatsjanka werd gebruikt tijdens de Russische Burgeroorlog (1917-1922) en de Russisch-Poolse oorlog (1919-1921). De tasjanka staat symbool voor het ontluikende Rode Leger. Het is uitgerust een Maxim-Gorloff M1910 machinegeweer met een vuursnelheid van 500-650 kogels per minuut. Gezien in het Koninklijk Museum van het Leger en de Krijgsgeschiedenis te Brussel.
English: The tatchanka is a vehicle drawn by one to four horses. It was equiped with a machinegun to support a cavalry group. This improvished weapon was used in the Russian civil war (1917-1922) and the Russian-Polish war (1919-1921). The machinegun in the carriage is a Maxim-Gorloff M1910 with a rate of fire of 500-650 units per minute. Seen in the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History, Brussels. |
