| Description |
English: Target butts of rifle range Taken from the end of the Mouldron West railway branch, it required the sighting of a prewar Ordnance Survey map to identify this heavily buttressed grassy bank. Targets would have been erected on top of this bank, which would then have served to shelter the setters whilst riflemen stationed up to half a mile away practised their skill. Beyond the line of trees,which mark the course of the A71 road, can be seen the houses of Fauldhouse, and to the right are the stone-crushing plant and piles of sand from Leven Seat. |
