Summary[edit]

Description
English: An alternative title is "Virtue Overcoming Vice."

A very large tapestry - this is most, but not all, of it. It's the largest tapestry in the Collection. Maximum width is 8.7m, maximum height is 4.6m. It weighs nearly 40kg.

It's thought to be a copy (made in the latter half of the sixteenth century), of one of a set of nine tapestries made to celebrate the coronation of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V in 1520. Those originals were completed about 1523.
