Summary[edit]

Description

De afgebeelde Tapanar is feitelijk de tweede of derde die het 2de regiment infanterie als mascotte aanschafte. Het idee om een ezel als macotte te voeren kwam van kolonol francoise in 1985. De eerste heeft echter geen lang leven gekend in het korps. De bewakers van de gevangenis hadden de ezel geleerd om zelfstandig een fles bier leeg te drinken. Wat er toe leidde dat het dier wel eens beschonken werd aangetroffen. Op zijn laatste avond werd hij door de verzorger te kort aangebonden. Hierdoor kon hij niet gaan liggen, wat in combinatie met wat alcoholgebruik een dodelijke combinatie bleek.

Op het appel werd geld ingezameld voor de aanschaf voor de opvolger.
