Bahasa Indonesia: Bangunan berarsitektur tradisional Jawa yang pada awalnya dipakai sebagai pedoman rumah adat adalah apa yang disebut dengan bentuk taj/taju (bahasa arab yang berarti mahkota). Kemudian kata ini lebih dikenal dengan istilah tajug. Bangunan yang menggunakan atap berbentuk tajug ini bentuk denahnya adalah bujursangkar yang panjang keempat sisinya sama. Rumah adat Tajug adalah jenis rumah adat yang lazimnya digunakan sebagai gaya arsitektur bangunan tempat peribadatan atau tempat sakral.
English: The traditional Javanese architectural building which was originally used as a guide for traditional houses is what is called the taj/taju form (Arabic which means crown). Then this word is better known as tajug. The building, which uses a tajug-shaped roof, has a square plan with the same length on all four sides. Tajug traditional house is a type of traditional house that is usually used as an architectural style of buildings for places of worship or sacred places.
