Description
Nederlands: Taguchi is een van de Japanse marineofficieren die in 1862 naar Nederland komen om de bouw van het stoomschip Kaiyo-maru te volgen, dat in opdracht van de Japanse regering wordt gebouwd. In Nederland volgen zij lessen in zeevaarttechnieken en bezoeken ze bedrijven en instellingen. Taguchi is officier machinist bij de Japanse marine.
English: Taguchi was one of the Japanese naval officers who came to the Netherlands in 1862 to follow the construction of the steamship Kaiyo-maru, which was being built by order of the Japanese government. In the Netherlands, they took courses in navigation techniques and visited enterprises and institutions. Taguchi was first engineer in the Japanese Navy.
