Description
English: Torås Fort, a former coastal fortress on the island of Tjøme, Norway. The facility was established by the Norwegians in 1938, but the fortress and artillery was completed by German military forces as part of the Festung Norwegen during Nazi Germany's occupation of Norway in the Second World War 1940 – 1945. The fortress at Torås was closed down in 1999. The photo shows the exit of an old bunker tunnel housing the private Færder Military History Museum since 2018

Norsk bokmål: Fra Nedre leir på Torås fort på øya Tjøme i Ytre Oslofjord. Kystfortet ble etablert av Forsvaret i 1939, men ferdigstilt med fire kanoner av den tyske okkupasjonsmakta under andre verdenskrig. Etter krigen overtok Kystartilleret. Det var også kursvirksomhet på stedet. Anlegget ble nedlagt i 1999. Det er i dag et åpent krigsminne.

Bildet viser gitterporten foran utgangen til bunkeranlegget (fjelltunnelen) der Færder Militærhistoriske Museum (Torås Museum) har en privat samling gjenstander fra krigen og framover, særlig tilknyttet stedet og distriktet.
