Description
English: 1950. T. Dale (Thomas Dale) Stewart (1901-1997), physical anthropologist, Department of Anthropology, United States National Museum (now the National Museum of Natural History), in his laboratory measures a skull. A human skeleton, from the waist up is in the foreground on the right. Photograph was taken on October 3, 1950 by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Stewart, who pioneered in the field of forensic anthropology, often examined skeletons for the FBI.
