Summary[edit]

Description
English: artistic vision of an episode of the Spanish Civil War. The Polish chief diplomatic representative in Republican Spain, Marian Szumlakowski, tries to prevent execution of a man suspected of Nationalist sympathies and attempting to reach a ship in Valencia. Some speculate that the man in question was Victoriano Martin Martin, a former police operative in Valencia (executed anyway).
