English:
Two storey corner building with courtyard, sizeable shop windows. Arch gates and windows. Corner cupola with beehive (refer to banking business) sculpture on its top. County CoA, city CoA and bee reliefs. Pilasters. Former HQ of the Szeged Csongrád Savings (Est. 1845) and agancies of two insurance companies. In the 2000s, 2020s? OTP Bank building. Planned by Lipót Baumhorn. Built in 1903-1905. Art-Nouveau style. Remodelled: in 1914, a safety deposit box was placed on the first floor with slab reinforcement. In the years 1920–22, changes were made with the creation of a new deposit department and bill of exchange business. In 1941 an emergency shelter was established, and in 1944 a public air defense shelter was established for 144 people. In the 1950s, major internal alterations were carried out with apartment divisions. - There is a allegorical relief on the gable: trading Mercurius, agriculture Demeter and industry Hephaestus. - Outdoor back granite plaque (1904), 200x120cm Text: "Szeged-Csongrád Savings Bank. Founded 1845". - Plaques in the entrance hall (1905, red limestone, 80x100cm) inscription: 'Szeged-Csongrád Savings Bank. Founded in 1845 year. This headquarters was built in the years 1903–1905 by decision of the General Assembly held on February 8, 1903. It was designed by Lipót Baumhorn, architect from Budapest. Built by Mihály Erdélyi, architect from Szeged.' The second inside plaque inscription: 'At the time of construction, the affairs of the institute were managed: President: Ferenc Fluck, Vice-President: Kálmán Gál, Board of Directors: József Aigner Sr., László Kátai, dr. Egykori Szeged–Csongrádi Takarékpénztár székháza és két biztosító intézet irodahelyiségei, a Széchenyi téri oldalon üzletekkel. Most Országos Takarékpénztár szecessziós épülete található. Terv: Baumhorn Lipót. Épült 1903–1905 közt. Szecessziós. - Orommezejének domborművei baloldalt Merkúr, a kereskedelem allegóriájaként, a mezőgazdaságot szimbolizáló nőalak Démétér, kezében búzakévével és sarlóval, jobbról Héphaisztosz kaszát kalapál, ő az ipart testesíti meg.[1] - Fekete gránit, mészkő emléktábla az épület sarkán, elhelyezték 1904-ben, 200x120 cm Szövege: "Szeged-Csongrádi Takarékpénztár. Alapítva 1845". - Emléktáblák a bejárati előterében (1905, vörös mészkő, 80x100 cm) Az első tábla szövege: 'Szeged–Csongrádi Takarékpénztár. Alapíttatott 1845 évben. Ez a székház az 1903. február 8-án tartott közgyűlés határozatából az 1903–1905 években épült. Tervezte Baumhorn Lipót budapesti műépítész. Építette Erdélyi Mihály szegedi építész.'
