Title |
Switchboard [possibly at Cedar Falls Plant], ca. 1910 |
||||||||||||||||||||
Description |
The location is likely the Cedar Falls Hydroelectric Plant which began supplying Seattle with power in 1905. Interior shots of the same location appear in spl_gpn_172, spl_gpn_173, and spl_gpn_174. The exterior of the Cedar Falls plant is pictured in spl_gpn_176. Signs on the turbines in photos spl_gpn_173 and spl_gpn_174 read ""Plat Iron Works." The June 22, 1912 issue of Pacific Builder and Engineer confirms that the turbines for the Cedar Falls Plant were built by Platt Iron Works. Switchboard (Cedar Falls Generating Station?) |
