Description
Svenska: Frimärke 3 öre 1863, från Postmuseums samlingar. Användes främst till lokalbrev. Sparre åstadkom i Paris en ny gravyr till treöresmärket 1863 (typ II). Den är snarlik hans första, hårt kritiserade gravyrtyp I. Men den är renare och tydligare i detaljerna och godkändes av poststyrelsen i Stockholm. Tryckplåtarna tillverkades för alla lejon-valörer i Paris. De färdiga plåtarna sändes därefter upp till Stockholm där själva tryckningen ombesörjdes av Sparres ställföreträdare Georg Scheutz. Upplaga: 10 452 100, 3 öre Typ II. Märkena framställdes utan vattenmärke (endast i arkmarginalerna). Ogiltiga till frankering fr. o. m. den 30 december 1910.
