DescriptionSurrender of Jacques Maurepas.jpg |
English: In late February, 1802, after repulsing numerous assaults on his positions at and around Trois Pavillons, south of Port-de-Paix, Jacques Maurepas and his 9th Demi-Brigade found themselves surrounded by two divisions of French troops several times their strength. With one third of his men having surrendered to Leclerc's army a few days before, and with no way, Maurepas turned himself and his men in. |
