Description
English: U.S. Army Capt. Evan Nonaka, 759th Forward Surgical Team, Fort Bragg, N.C. Chief Nurse and assigned to Camp Wright, Asadabad transposes information that is called out when a trauma patient is received at the camp's FST Oct. 15, . This ensures all information including time and type of medicine administered is recorded prior to surgery ensuring accuracy and accountability for all treatment received. This patient is an Afghanistan national police member who received a gunshot wound to his leg while performing his duties in the local area. After receiving immediate surgery to repair his injury, he was transferred to a different location to receive long term and specialized care. The FSTs main goal is to provide immediate local surgical treatment for life threatening injuries to help stabilize the patient prior to being transported to more intensive care facilities.
