Description
English: This is the photograph of Hindu God Ganesha in dancing form - Naatya Ganapati or Naatya Ganesa

The profusely carved figures on the walls of Khajuraho Temples have been classified broadly into 5 categories.

1. The first category comprises images of principal deities like Shiva, Ganesha, Vishnu, Surya and Jain Tirthankaras which were carved strictly in accordance with History.

2. The second category is of divinities, minor Gods and #Goddesses, Apsaras and Surasundaris on pillared riches.

3. The third category comprises of Mithunas that is couples engaged in sexual orgies which is most stimulating and open ways to many controversies.

4. The fourth category depicts group of dancers and musicians, hunting scenes, animal fight, army marching, sculptor at work, teacher teaching pupils and several other secular scenes depicting activities of contemporary period.

5. The fifth or the last category consists of sculptures of animals including the Vyala or Sardula - Heraldic and Fabulous beast looks like a lion.

This Photgraphy work was captured at Khajuraho Western Group of Temples. Khajuraho after Taj, is the most frequently visited monument in India. Khajuraho is an unique example of Indo-Aryan architecture. It is well known all over the world for its temple architecture and exquisite sculpture.

The temples were built between the 9th and 11th centuries by the Warrior Kings of the Chandela dynasty. It is believed that 85 temples were built out of its 25 still remain in varying degrees of preservation.
