Español: Formación de bicapas lipídicas soportadas sobre una superficie cubierta de nanopartículas de diferentes tamaños. Se forman poros (o agujeros) transmembrana alrededor de partículas de aproximadamente 1 a 20 nm de diámetro. Las figuras 3D mostradas son la representación adaptada de la serie de imágenes de microscopía de fuerza atómica en modo de toma grabadas en medio tampón líquido. A la hora de atribuir los resultados, debe citarse la siguiente referencia: Y. Roiter, M. Ornatska, A. R. Rammohan, J. Balakrishnan, D. R. Heine y S. English: Supported lipid bilayer formation on surface covered with nanoparticles of different sizes. Transmembrane pores (or holes) are formed around particles of approximately 1 to 20 nm diameter.
