Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Sunset at the Queen's View, Loch Tummel. Dramatic colours, with the advantage that the unfortunately sited caravan site is rendered invisible in the shadows. It is said that the view was a favourite of Queen Isabella, first wife of King Robert the Bruce, but she could never have seen it as it is now, because the present extent of Loch Tummel dates only from the building of the dam in the 20th century. Nor could Queen Victoria, who admired it in the 19th century. |
