Summary[edit]

Description
English: The purple sky is a natural phenomenon seen in many parts of the world. The sky appears to be purple when there is a particular weather condition. This type of weather condition is called stratocumulus clouds. Stratocumulus clouds are made up of water droplets and ice crystals. These clouds form when the air is cold and moist. The water droplets and ice crystals in the clouds reflect sunlight. This reflection causes the sky to appear purple. The purple sky can also be seen when sunset or sunrise. When the sun sets or rises, it casts a pink and orange glow on the clouds.
